Ricky Martin habla sobre la ansiedad en medio de la pandemia

Ricky Martin tuvo un momento en el que no sabía qué hacer con su vida cuando se implementó la cuarentena obligatoria en medio de la pandemia de coronavirus. El cantante de «Living la vida loca» fue la portada para la próxima edición de la revista Out, y en su entrevista habló sobre la ansiedad que sintió al darse cuenta de que tenía que poner en pausa su carrera musical.

«Pasé por este proceso de duelo por no volver a tener la posibilidad de cantar frente a 20.000 personas», dijo Ricky Martin a la publicación. «Eso es lo que nos decían. Simplemente no supe qué hacer. Siempre pensé que iba a poder hacer esto todo el tiempo que quisiera, incluso a los 70 años con un bastón. Pero al parecer eso ya no será así», reveló.

Una estrategia

El intérprete puertorriqueño, naturalmente, se volvió hacia la música y creó dos EP, Pausa y Play. El primero fue lanzado a principios de julio. «Realmente lo terminé como una forma de afrontar la pandemia», admite Martin. En cuanto a cómo es su vida familiar en medio de la cuarentena, el padre de cuatro tiene a sus mellizos de 12 años, Valentino y Matteo, quienes continúan siendo educados en casa y «toman lecciones de kárate a través de Zoom».

La familia grande

“Hay momentos en los que quiero 10 hijos más, y luego están esas mañanas en las que todos lloran y yo digo: ‘Está bien, tal vez estemos bien solo con seis’”, bromeó. Martin siempre soñó con ser padre, admitiendo que pasó por un «proceso de duelo» antes de salir del armario, pensando que nunca podría llegar a serlo. «Muchos años soñé con ser padre, y muchas, muchas, muchas veces pasé por este proceso de duelo por ser gay», expresó.
